Our Top 5 Tracks That Caught Our Attention Last Week (07/08/26)

Tyga, Beyoncé, and Rylo Rodriguez all released tracks that deserve a little extra attention.

5. Beyoncé – MORNING DEW (DONK)

Beyoncé doesn’t release new music often these days, which makes every appearance from her catalog feel like an event. When she dropped the unreleased track “MORNING DEW (DONK)” on July 4th, it was another reminder of why fans continue to hold her music in such high regard. The song shows just how special her partnership with Pharrell’s production can be, while also highlighting how amazing her smoother, more laid-back vocals sound. Honestly, it might even serve as another argument that the B’Day era was one of Beyoncé’s strongest vocal moments.

4. Rico Nasty – Cupcake

Rico Nasty deserves way more credit than she gets. She’s ridiculously talented, and “Cupcake” is another example of why. Throughout the track, she taps into different parts of her personality, delivering confident bars, an energetic, animated vocal style, and the competitive fire that makes her stand out. I honestly think the structure, sound, and overall vibe of this record give her one of the best chances to reach a wider audience and land on traditional radio (I’m not sure she actually wants to).

3. $TARFACE (aka Tyga) – Gave U Racks

Of all the people I would’ve expected to do some ’80s s**t, Tyga was the last person. Not only have I never associated him with being experimental, but he’s no damn singer. That said, he got his Tory Lanez on and dove into some serious ’80s vibes with “Gave U Racks,” and I kind of like it, guys! Though his vocals aren’t the best, the atmosphere is beautiful, and the melodies are pretty solid. Let’s see how far he’s able to take this weird persona.

2. Bino Rideaux & Nipsey Hussle – All Summer

One thing I’ve always respected is how Nipsey Hussle’s estate has handled his music since his passing. They haven’t overloaded fans with constant releases or tried to squeeze every possible dollar out of his catalog. Instead, they’ve been patient, making sure each release feels intentional.

That approach continues with Nipsey’s upcoming collaborative album alongside Bino Rideaux. The rollout has been steady, and “All Summer” only builds more anticipation. The record finds Nipsey stepping into a more catchy, relaxed pocket as he effortlessly complements Bino’s smooth style. With everybody expecting Nip’s next project to be on some Pac s**t, I’m so glad this upcoming project sounds like it might be on some chill Summer s**t.

1. Rylo Rodriguez, Lil Baby & Kevin Gates – Neighborgood Starz (Ft. Lil Baby & Kevin Gates)

I genuinely think Rylo Rodriguez delivered his best project yet with S.K.A.T.E. The album features some beautiful soul-inspired production, slick wordplay, and strong guest appearances that help elevate the experience. My favorite moment has to be “Neighborhood Starz.” The track’s emotional trap production immediately pulls you in, almost bringing tears to your eyes, while Rylo Rodriguez and Lil Baby deliver some powerful street-focused lyrics. But Kevin Gates steals the show. The intensity in his delivery, the vocal changes, and the raw emotion he pours into the verse are incredible. If you haven’t listened to this one yet, you’re seriously missing out.
