Oh boy!
If you are going to sample “Oh Boy,” you’re going to have to pay homage to Cam’ron in some kind of way. Mahalia knew this, because today, she decided to add him to the remix for “What Did You Do.”
I always thought that the original version of “What Did You Do” was weird because it featured a back and forth about cheating between two girls that I am assuming are straight. By adding Cam’ron to the song, a male’s perspective, I feel like it got well-needed Maury-like/Tyler Perry-esque tension added to it. (BTW, Cam’ron sounds like his vintage self in the song)
Cam’ron is a legend, folks. The sooner you accept it, the easier life becomes.
