Misfit is the real deal.
More than any other genre, hip-hop births the hungriest artists. Misfit is a perfect example of a rapper who sounds hungrier than a Naked and Afraid contestant. In “Double Down,” his latest single, the Chicago native lets the world know that he’s ready to do whatever it takes to gain success.
“Double Down” is powered by this hard-hitting beat that gives off vibes that are colder than Chicago during the middle of January. Over it, Misfit spits motivational bars about making it to the top of rap’s food chain and deep-ass bars about his fallen friends. What I love most about the song is that Misfit delivers every single lyric you hear on it with pure confidence. It’s almost like he knows he’s the s**t and is ready to challenge anybody that thinks otherwise.
