OVERALL RATING (??)

Khalid lets his emotions flow on “wildflower.”

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: Khalid is one of the best musicians in the game right now. Today, the 22-year-old singer has decided to release a soulful new single for us called “wildflower (rough).”

“wildflower (rough)” isn’t something I would listen to on my downtime, but I do appreciate its organic vibes. With the song boasting production that sounds both sobering and incomplete, over it, Khalid goes through the motions, singing passionately about finding love that can fly, bloom, and breakdance. As expected, his vocals on the song will pierce through your soul, giving you a well-needed break from all of the COVID-19 drama.

We’re about to have a surplus of new music coming out in the next couple of weeks. (I hope ya’ll are paying your monthly Spotify bills on time)
