Amy Swift stuns listeners with powerhouse vocals and haunting production on the dark pop single “Under.”
Amy Swift sounds like someone built in a laboratory specifically to dominate singing competitions. The control, power, and emotion in her voice are honestly ridiculous, and on “Under,” she might hit her peak vocally.
Featured in the final season of the hit TV series Good Trouble, “Under” is a moody, slow-burning pop track centered around the intoxicating and destructive sides of love. The song explores the kind of relationship that feels impossible to escape, even when you know it’s probably poisoning your peace little by little.
What makes the track stand out most is how Amy attacks the production. The instrumental itself already carries a cinematic pull, packed with hypnotic melodies, suspenseful textures, and a tempo that quietly builds pressure like thunderclouds forming in the distance. Over it, she delivers a vocal performance that feels rebellious, emotional, passionate, and completely unrestrained.
I just gave Amy a standing ovation from my living room for putting up one of the best performances of the year with this track. Wow, I’m really blown away.
