Thundercat’s ear for music is extraordinary. Though he’s not the most explosive singer/songwriter in the world, his ability to create funky R&B music is unmatched. It is What It Is, Thundercat’s latest project, is a body-of-work that is beyond delightful. Throughout it, you get music that is soothing, music that is lively, music that is timeless-sounding, and most importantly, music that is romantic.

There is reason to believe that Kanye West and Miguel are featured on It Is What It Is; unfortunately, they are not. The people that ARE featured on the album are Ty Dolla $ign, Lil B, Zack Fox, Childish Gambino, Steve Lacy, and Steve Arrington.
