21 Savage has been on some R&B s**t as of lately.
The word growth isn’t used enough in hip-hop. Remember when 21 Savage first came out? He was on some kill, kill, kill s**t. Nowadays, he actually opens up about his love life on songs. On “Secret,” 21 Savage turns into full-on 21 Sappy.
Here’s the thing: I haven’t been the biggest fan of lazy-ass remakes of old school hits. With that being said, I used to love “Little Secret” back in the day, so I don’t have a problem with this remake of it. I also don’t have a problem with 21 Savage’s mushy-ass lyrics or Summer Walker’s emotional vocals on the song. What I do have a problem with is how dull both artists sound.
