When Dave East is gassed up, he is the toughest rapper in the game.
It’s hard to believe that Survival was Dave East’s first studio album. Throughout the years, he has dropped so many street bangers that I f**k with. “Handsome,” East’s latest single, is yet another street banger that is hard to ignore.
“Handsome” features an instrumental that is both hard-hitting and soulful, lyrics that are both hood-certified and lofty, and flows that are both relentless and unmovable. Though I do not relate to Dave East’s hood ways, I connect with his unflappable mentality (You gotta be unflappable to be a music writer. There’s so much bad s**t that releases).
