“Deep Thought” is a body-of-work that is beyond satisfying.
Whenever I get a chance to listen to music that pushes boundaries, merges together a bunch of different sounds, and challenges the norm, I am thankful. Dama, a talented musician from Denver, Colorado, was able to bless us with an album in Deep Thought that does everything I just mentioned.
“Deep Thought” is smooth, complex, unpredictable, and therapeutic. Though the album doesn’t feature any vocals, the instrumentals on it speak volumes with its shifts in moods and vivid sounds. Additionally, I love how Dama effortlessly blends both hip-hop and intimate vibes together on the project. Hell, while listening to it, I felt like I had opportunities to nod my head and opportunities to meditate and do some soul-searching. (Everybody should love a body-of-work that you can both hear and feel)
