G-Eazy Covers The XX’s “VCR”

VCR

G-Eazy

OVERALL RATING (???)

G-Eazy is clearly going through a midlife crisis.

G-Eazy gets a lot of points from me for knowing his music history. These last couple of months, he has covered songs by Bob Dylan, The Beatles, Radiohead, and more. Today, the Bay Area rapper has decided to release a cover to The XX’s “VCR” hit.

The beat that powers “VCR” is an interesting mix between sunny and dull, while G-Eazy sounds both depressed and hopeful on the song. If you are someone that loves hearing explosive music by the “No Limit” rapper, unfortunately, this song is the exact opposite.

I’m convinced that G-Eazy has been at home plucking flowers these last couple of weeks.
