Trey Songz Releases The Very Powerful “2020 Riots: How Many Times”

2020 RIOTS: HOW MANY TIMES

Trey Songz

OVERALL RATING (????)

Who’s cutting onions in the other room?

This week, a bunch of songs about racial injustice has hit the net. While I love all of them, none hit my soul harder than Trey Songz’s “2020 Riots: How Many Times.”

My favorite Trey Songz album is his first one. On it, he sings like a dude that practically grew up in the church. On “2020 Riots: How Many Times,” the Virginia native goes back to that sound. Not only does he bless us with a vocal performance that will pierce your soul and warm your heart, but he also dishes out honest lyrics about his frustrations with America’s racist ways. If you listened to this song from start to finish and didn’t tear up, you are one very strong individual.

I love being black!
