Saweetie Returns With “Tap In”

TAP IN

Saweetie

OVERALL RATING (???)

Saweetie pays homage to a Bay Area legend on “Tap In.”

Saweetie has serious appeal but hasn’t quite done anything to prove that she has a bright future in the rap game. With that being said, I do think she will catch a bunch of people’s attention with her new Pretty Bitch Music album. Today, the lead single off of the album has hit the net, and it follows a formula that she has already had success using.

“Tap In” is powered by a flipped version of Too Short’s classic “Blow The Whistle” instrumental. Over it, Saweetie raps rawly about bagging rich n***as, stiff-arming broke n***as, and stunting on everyone else. Though her verses on the song aren’t that great, at the end of the day, I don’t want to be called a non-icy hater by her for being a tough critic.

I’m not going to lie, Saweetie is badder than my credit. Kudos to Quavo.
