After I heard “MOO” a year and some change ago, I knew to never take Doja Cat seriously. With that being said, her new single, “Unisex Freestyle,” is pretty f**king bizarre.
“Unisex Freestyle” is a very quirky song. It is powered by a beat that is as colorful as Tekashi’s teeth, semi-sexy/semi-crazy lyrics (I tried reading her lyrics and got very lost), and a style of rapping that straddles the line between gangsta and bratty. While I don’t think the song is terrible, I do think a lot of people will dismiss it.
Doja Cat is the only artist in the game that does and says whatever she wants.
