The Devil is also trying to start a race war in America.
America is dealing with so much racial tension right now. While the news has done a good job of covering the craziness that is going on in each state, I think rappers have done a good job of covering the craziness that is going on in the streets. Today, 2 Chainz and Skooly decided to drop a rebellious anthem called “Devil Just Trying To Be Seen” that I think will resonate mightily with the streets.
“Devil Just Trying To Be Seen” is powered by a beat that sounds both erratic and hard-hitting. Over it, 2 Chainz hits us with ferocious bars about lighting up oppressors and stunting on haters. Though I prefer to hear a version of the Atlanta rapper that is all about peace, I do enjoy hearing him sound like a disgruntled black man.
2 Chainz’s opinion on racial inequality matters a lot, to me.
