Lecrae Calls On John Legend For “Drown”

DROWN

Lecrae & John Legend

OVERALL RATING (????)

On the real, I’m not sure there is a rapper in the game right now that makes better music than Lecrae.

I’m one of those people that has just as many Lecrae songs as Trippie Redd songs. In my opinion, the Christian rapper makes music that is replenishing, productive, and restorative. On his latest single, “Drown,” not only does Lecrae rap passionately, but he also reminds us to think about the things that we put all of our trust in.

“Drown” boasts a pretty powerful vocal performance by John Legend and vulnerable lyrics by Lecrae. You also get an instrumental that is intoxicating and rap flows that youthful rappers are using quite a bit these days.

I feel like I caught both the Holy Ghost and heartburn while listening to “Drown.”
