Ehbert Talice sounds motivated, humble, and raw on “I Needed You.”
Ehbert Talice is a versatile gospel rapper. Not only is he capable of spitting wisdom-filled bars, but he also knows how to create infectious melodies. In my opinion, one of Ehbert’s best songs is “I Needed You” — a powerful banger that features vulnerable lyrics and an interesting vocal performance.
“I Needed You” is powered by this piano-heavy beat that also has a helluva bop attached to it. Over it, Ehbert sings fearlessly and raps bluntly. As for lyrically, in the song, the Haitian-born rapper talks about overcoming hate, battling demons, and having the LORD by his side.
