5. PRODUCT OF MY ENVIRONMENT

Nyck Caution, Kota the Friend & Erick the Architect lets us know about their rough come-ups in “Product Of My Environment.”

Do you know why “Product Of My Environment” resonated with me? Because the song features nothing but hungry, truthful, gritty, powerful, and relatable lyrics by three rappers that are very underrated. The song also features very clever bars.

4. ANYWHERE BUT HERE

Nyck Caution truly spills his heart out on “Anywhere But Here.” Not only does he talk about his lost friends and fractured soul, but he also talks about growth quite a bit.

Even though “Anywhere But Here” features a therapeutic instrumental and soothing vocal performances by Maverick Sabre and Alex Mali, you get a very erratic version of Nyck on the song.

3. BAD DAY

Nyck Caution & Denzel Curry go the f**k off on “Bad Day!”

Woo wee, I sweated my ass off while I was listening to “Bad Day.” The song is powered by an action-packed beat, crazy-ass rap deliveries, an explosive hook, and lyrics that will intimidate every single human being on GOD’s green earth.

No, I do not want to see Nyck Caution or Denzel Curry on a bad day… (S**t, I don’t even want to see them on a day that the sun doesn’t come up)

2. MOTION SICKNESS

“Motion Sickness” features a feel-good instrumental and both positive lyrics and upbeat rap deliveries by Nyck Caution.

There’s nothing like a motivational rap track, right? After you are done listening to “Motion Sickness,” you will feel motivated to fight your demons and excited for tomorrow.

1. HOW YOU LIVE IT

Nyck Caution and Joey Bada$$ go toe to toe with one another on “How You Live It.”

There aren’t many rappers in the game that are as real as Nyck Caution and Joey Bada$$. In their music, I love how they blend their savage thoughts with wisdom-filled thoughts. With that being said, in “How You Live It,” Nyck and Joey both slyly and ferociously rap about smashing slimy chicks and toting their guns just as much as they rap about investing.

The punchlines, the flows, and the wordplay on this song are all fantastic!

OVERALL RATING

(B)

In these turbulent times that we are living in today, the world needed an album like Anywhere But Here.

If you are someone that values clever punchlines, meaningful lyrics, both soulful and hard-hitting hip-hop beats, and killer flows, you will love Anywhere But Here. Throughout the album, Nyck raps like a veteran that has seen everything the streets, the rap game, and the people around him have to offer. He also finds unique ways to display every emotion that your everyday human being goes through when they are grinding their ass off to be the best that they can be on a daily basis. While I’ve been following Nyck Caution for over five years now, Anywhere But Here is the first album by him that truly clicked with me.
