“Whatever” is the type of song DJs play at laidback gangsta parties.
Bryce Savoy isn’t new to the hip-hop game at all. These last couple of years, he’s dropped a bunch of mixtapes, EPs, and music videos. With that being said, Bryce’s best work to date might be Neighborhood Dreams. One of my favorite songs off the project, “Whatever,” boasts authentic west coast vibes and flawless raps.
I have probably played “Whatever” ten times in the last 24 hours. Not only do I f**k with the beat’s old school, laidback, and soulful vibes, but I also f**k with the unflappable flows, the confidence, and the cool-ass demeanor that Bryce Savoy raps with. The icing on the cake is the wisdom-filled/motivational/competitive lyrics that Bryce hurls out throughout the song.
If you don’t f**k with “Whatever,” you don’t love hip-hop.
