Freddie Gibbs Covers Gil Scott-Heron’s “Winter In America”

?????? ?? ???????

Freddie Gibbs

??? ?????? (??????)

I’m here for a version of Freddie Gibbs that is pro-black and unafraid to sing his ass off!

Freddie Gibbs is winning. Not only is his Alfredo album nominated for a Grammy, but these last couple of months, he has been able to work with some of the hottest musicians in the game. Since Freddie cannot be stopped, it makes all the sense in the world that he decided to sing his ass off on “Winter In America.”

If you haven’t given Gil Scott-Heron his flowers yet, that’s a shame. He did a lot of amazing things when he was on this earth. To pay homage to Heron, Freddie Gibbs decided to release his rendition of the Chicagoian’s “Winter In America.” While I wouldn’t say that Gibbs put up a divine vocal performance on the song, I do love the high level of soul that he hits us with.

Give “Winter In America” a shot below!
