Since childhood, the multitalented Nashville-based musician Ivory Layne has been perfecting her craft. Not only did she teach herself how to write powerful songs, but she also taught herself how to produce music. A couple of years ago, Layne was noticed by Ed Cash, a Grammy Award-winning producer who’s worked with acclaimed artists like Dolly Parton and Amy Grant. Together, they produced Layne’s debut EP. Her writing skills earned her two global ad campaigns with Swarovski and HBO, as well as various opportunities to collaborate with known artists. “Lonely Hearts” is a track off her latest EP Confetti.
“Lonely Hearts” shows off all of Layne’s talents with ease only achieved by one that’s an expert at their craft. The track features some catchy hooks, smooth flowing lyrics, and a pleasant hint of a classic country/folk vibe that will give fans of old-school tracks a satisfying hit of nostalgia. This love song is a radio-ready winner that shows off simplicity at its absolute best.
