“He Was a Guy” is one of the standouts from Sofi Maeda’s “Stages” album.

If you have had the opportunity to listen to Sofi Maeda’s music, I think that it is impossible not to fall in love with her. Not only will you appreciate her fearlessness as an artist, but you will also be enamored by her charming/edgy ways. If you are an pop-punk fan, it is imperative that you listen to Sofi’s Stages album. If you don’t have 41 minutes to spare, at least give “He Was a Guy,” one of my favorite songs from the album, a shot.

I highly recommend that you listen to all 3:26 of “He Was a Guy.” The song boasts an instrumental that features exhilarating guitar riffs, infectious drum patterns, and truly colorful vibes (You’re going to love the guitar-play towards the end). It also features a boisterous vocal performance and melodies to die for. As for lyrically, Sofi paints a picture in the song that should remind you what resiliency, confidence, and lost love looks like.

Listen to the very impressive/invigorating “He Ws A Guy” below. Also, check out Sofi’s Stages album HERE!
