Hazel is an Oslo, Norway-based indie-pop vocalist, songwriter, and recording artist that you need to keep an eye on.

Hazel explored her passion for music from a young age, playing instruments, singing, and writing songs. After high school, she moved to Bergen and spent a year studying and perfecting her musical skills. In 2018, Hazel signed with LA-based Norwegian music executive Erik Steigen. Her 2021 Blåsemafian collaboration “Let Loose” hit Norway’s V-G Lista Top 40 chart and the duo performed the song for Norway’s Eurovision Melodi Grand Prix final. Her recent release, “BOY,” is the fourth single off her upcoming U.S. debut EP Lifetime.

This dance-ready track has deep house vibes and ultra-catchy melodies. It’s a great song to get you hyped for the summertime. Still, “BOY” isn’t just pure escapism, it’s also filled with positive lyrics meant to empower women by reminding them to take control of unsatisfying situations by taking charge.

“BOY” is a great mixture of feel-good vocals and an energetic pulse.
