Thuggizzle might be the most fascinating human being on this planet. Not only is he a pretty good rapper, but the dude has his own water company, he skydives, and he reviews products on YouTube. Dos Equis is no longer my idol.
I’m not going to lie, Thuggizzle is someone that is easy to root for. Even though he had a rough come-up (He grew up in shelters, group homes, and foster care centers), he found creative ways to stay afloat in a world that is unforgiving. Now, Thuggizzle has his own water company!
While I expect Thuggizzle’s pure water company to skyrocket, what I will always see him as is a dude with some very solid rapping skills. “Smoke Sum,” one of his latest releases, should make you a believer in his rapping skills.
I’m not going to lie, I f**k with “Smoke Sum” a lot! Over an instrumental that oozes Good Times-Esque soulfulness and a bounciness to it that is hella infectious, Thuggizzle goes off by hitting us with flows that are impregnable, a hook that is way too catchy to ignore, and lyrics that will encourage you to light up, learn about the Texas rapper’s rough past, and to want to squash any beef that you have with someone. If you are hip to authentic hip-hop music, you will absolutely adore “Smoke Sum.”
