Do you know what I love about Big Sean? He’s such a down-to-earth rapper. In his music, he likes to talk about his come-up a lot and how certain things made him who he is today. In honor of one of the biggest moments of his life, Sean decided to release “Freshman 10 (Freestyle).”

In “Freshman 10 Freestyle,” Big Sean talks about the time he shared the stage with some of the biggest rappers of his generation at the 2010 XXL Freshman photoshoot. Throughout the song, you can literally hear the Detroit native glow as he talks about meeting rappers like J. Cole, Nipsey Hussle, Wiz Khalifa, and Jay Rock for the first time.
The 2010 freshman list is clearly the best of all time. The 2016 list is a close second.
