Rico Nasty Goes Full Genre Fusion On “You Can’t Run From Me”

Rating: 4 out of 5.

I wonder how many sedatives Rico Nasty takes before stepping out into the real world.

Rico Nasty steps into the world of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 with “You Can’t Run From Me,” a track that fully embraces genre fusion without hesitation.

The production is dominated by heavy metal instrumentation, with distorted guitars and a dark, futuristic atmosphere pushing the track forward. It’s the kind of s**t you could imagine blasting in the middle of the frozen wilderness of Antarctica. Over that, Rico injects her unmistakable rap cadence, switching between rhythmic flows and raw vocal aggression in a way that feels completely natural.

One of the most striking elements is the chorus, where soaring vocals cut through the chaos and add an unexpected melodic layer. This gives the song a wider appeal, balancing its extreme edges with something more tolerable.

The track’s soundtrack nature is noticeable, giving it a slightly structured, cinematic polish. However, rather than holding it back, it enhances the untamed cyberpunk aesthetic.

Do you know what I love about Rico? When she experiments, it doesn’t feel phony at all. She’s crazy in real life.
