I’m surprised that J.I. didn’t make the XXL 2021 freshman list. He has quite the following on social media. Today, the New York rapper decided to release “No Hook,” a track in which he sounds like he’s out for blood.

You don’t get smooth melodies in “No Hook;” you get hard-ass raps that will make folks that are scared of dudes with O-Dog-like braids rattled. While I think the song features too much mumbling, I do respect J.I.’s ability to go hard in the paint.
