Who knew that Kawhi Leonard was the next Puff Daddy?
A few weeks ago, I reviewed a song by NBA YoungBoy and Rod Wave called “Everything Different” that was the first single off Kawhi Leonard’s “Culture Jam” project. Today, another single from the project has hit streaming services, and guess what? It features Polo G and Gunna!
“Waves” is aight… The track features a catchy hook by Gunna, a nice little beat that will make you bop your head and a semi-gangsta verse by Polo in which he reminds us for the 100th time that he isn’t the one to mess with in any scenario (Especially during fire drills). I think the song is a little somethin’ somethin’ that might get you hyped up to leave the house, but on the real, overall, I find it to be a little on the boring side (I’m sure that Kawhi told everyone involved in the making of this song to add a splash of boring to it so folks can know that this is his project).
Kawhi is making albums, LeBron is making movies, Giannis is winning NBA Championships, and Kevin Durant is participating in the Olympics. Damn, the NBA is in a really good place right now.
