Kodak Black & Rod Wave Drop Powerful Bars In “Before I Go”

Before I Go

Kodak Black & Rod Wave

RGM RATING (??????)

The two Florida rappers do their thing on this track.

Kodak Black has had his foot on the gas since being released from jail. In the last couple of months, he has collaborated with a bunch of folks, has dropped a few projects, and has found himself embroiled in family beef. For his latest release, Kodak calls on fellow Floridian Rod Wave.

“Before I Let Go” is an emotional trap banger that features fearless crooning but also tons of stick talk. What I love about the song is how much passion both Rod and Kodak show in their verses, as they do everything in their power to convince listeners that they refuse to let the streets take them or their families out. I also love how they tip-toe the ever-so-diminishing line between rapping and singing.
