I probably wouldn’t have called a Dick Gregory song “Big Energy,” but to each its own.

Lupe Fiasco has been motivated to make music as of late, he’s just not dropping music in an orthodox way at all. The Chicago rapper’s last couple of singles have been random diss tracks and weird-ass remixes. His latest release, “Big Energy,” pays homage to the late great Dick Gregory.

Despite everything that I said in the first paragraph, the truth is this: Lupe absolutely annihilates “Big Energy.” Over an instrumental that is smoother than Ginuwine’s hair, Lupe hits us with impregnable flows, outstanding wordplay, clever punchlines, and lyrics that will let you know why Dick Gregory is considered a legend. I think this song is fascinating!

Only Lupe can pull this song off.
