RGM RATING (??????????)

I don’t care what any of y’all say, Tha Carter III is Lil Wayne’s best album. In my opinion, the album has way too many hits. Today, a song that probably could’ve ended up on Tha Carter III, “Ya Dig,” hit streaming services.

This is the Lil Wayne that I love. In the song, he blesses us with clever/borderline outrageous punchlines, impressive flows, and lyrics that straddle the line between boisterous, wisdom-filled, competitive, and sly. On some real s**t, “Ya Dig” almost sounds like an acceptance speech in the form of a song (Especially when you add the soulful instrumental to the fray).

Listen to “Ya Dig” below.
