Drake’s “HABIBTI” Rockets 114 Spots to No. 2 on the Billboard 200

The “FOMO” expansion sends “HABIBTI” back to No. 2 with 71,000 equivalent album units.

Drake did not capture the Billboard 200 crown this week, but HABIBTI came remarkably close after receiving its FOMO expansion.

The album officially jumps 114 positions to No. 2 after earning 71,000 equivalent album units during the latest tracking week. That final total exceeds the updated projection of approximately 70,000 units and allows HABIBTI to match the peak it originally reached following its May release. The project has now moved 553,000 units overall.

Taylor Swift holds the chart’s top position with 93,000 units for The Life of a Showgirl, leaving approximately 22,000 units between the two superstars. Drake may not have reached the summit, but climbing 114 spots and returning to No. 2 months after the album arrived is still an impressive result.

The resurgence follows the release of HABIBTI (FOMO), which adds “Solar Eclipse,” “Quebec,” “Classic PT2,” and “Cold Shoulder.” Drake initially introduced those four songs through his FOMO film before making them available on streaming services. Don Toliver appears on “Solar Eclipse,” a reworking of Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas,” and returns alongside Yebba on “Cold Shoulder.”

HABIBTI originally arrived as part of Drake’s enormous three-album release alongside ICEMAN and Maid of Honour. Months later, four additional songs have pushed it back to its original peak. Drake did not reinvent the deluxe-edition strategy, but he clearly remembered where the turbo button was.
