Do you remember Little Mix? They are/were a UK girl music group that made a few hits here and there. Well, one of the stars from the group, Jesy Nelson, decided to get her solo career on and poppin’ with the release of “Boyz,” a banger that features a beat that you’ve heard before and one of Nicki Minaj’s hardest verses since her return to the music scene.
Back in the day, I thought that Diddy/Puff Daddy/P. Diddy/Poppa Diddy Pop’s “Bad Boy For Life” beat was hot as hell; I’m so damn happy that someone finally decided to sample it after all of these years. Even though I would’ve preferred a bigger name to tackle a flipped version of the beat, I do think that Jesy Nelson absolutely slew s**t in “Boyz.” I like the swag that she displays throughout the song and how she turns up her vocals in spurts throughout. As for Nicki, even though she sounds a little rusty in the song (Especially when it comes to her flow), I do f**k with her aggression and old-school hip-hop references.
If ripping the tag off a pillow (Which is a felony) makes me a bad boy, you need to come and get me, Jesy.
