“U Know” is off Idow’s “Summer’s Over” EP.

Silver Spring, Maryland-based musician, Idow, is a singer, songwriter, producer, and engineer that loves to create R&B concoctions that are very memorable. Personally, what I love about her is that she knows how to hypnotize listeners with both her voice and thought-provoking lyrics. Idow’s latest drop is her spell-binding four-track EP titled Summer’s Over. One of the standouts off of the EP is “U Know.”

“U Know” is is about the ending of a toxic relationship. Having to be the one to end the relationship before it ends up consuming every bit of you and damaging you. Since the song features an instrumental that is as therapeutic as it gets, Idow decides to bring out her simplest melodies and most nurturing vocals for the song. She also tip-toes her feelings from a lyrical standpoint, ultimately coming across as both relatable and vulnerable. All in all, this intro track for Summer’s Over definitely sets the tone for the EP.
