When you look up the definition of the word ‘talented,’ you will see Sean Grinsell’s face.

Chicago, Illnois-based musician, Sean Grinsell, is an aspiring songwriter, producer, and performer. What I find unique about him is that he knows how to brilliantly blend elements from rock, jazz, blues, and psychedelic into his music. What’s also unique about him is that he has played various instruments throughout his life, really finding a passion for music during his sophomore year (He’s actually been involved in music since the 3rd grade). To let you know how amazing Sean’s potential is, all you need to know is this: His music is influenced by legends such as Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and Christone Kingfish. Recently, Sean released an EP called R Is For Redemption. One of the top tracks from the EP is “Rogue.”

“Rogue” is one of the most dynamic instrumentals that I’ve heard in a while. For about half of the song, Sean combines a truly electrifying guitar performance with these masterful piano notes that might indicate that he is a bit of a music madman. For the second half of the song, Sean turns things up a notch. Not only does he pick up the pace a little, but he also implements these feverish vibes into the fray, creating a concoction that never lets up in action.
