RGM RATING (????????)

Key Glock puts his Hard Hat back on.

Young Dolph wasn’t just Key Glock’s main collaborator, he was also his cousin. If I was in Glock’s shoes, I would probably take a break from everything, too. Today, the Memphis rapper decided to make his highly-anticipated return to the music scene with “Proud,” a track that talks about the pain that he’s dealing with over Dolph’s death and his mindset these days.

First and foremost, the beat that powers “Proud” is top-notch. That s**t features these menacing vibes that will give you chills and some bass that will knock the toupee off your grandfather’s head. As for Key Glock, he meets the beat at the rim with very consistent flows, a catchy hook, and deep-ass lyrics that pay homage to Dolph, showcase his resiliency and highlight how street smart he is. All in all, I think that this is a very good comeback track for Glock.

I’m definitely rooting for Glock moving forward (Can you imagine if I said that out loud at a police department).
