I legit didn’t know that King Von made tracks like “Don’t Play That.”
It’s a shame that we never got a chance to see King Von fully bloom as an artist. Right before his demise, I just started getting hip to his music. One thing that I used to hear everyone say was that Von was a master storyteller. Based on “Don’t Play That,” I can see that he was capable of making a hit or two, too.
You don’t hear people say this much anymore but f**k it, I am going to say it: This song is very entertaining. “Don’t Play That” features a beat with an intoxicating rhythm, lyrics that are both hood romantic and demonic, and flows that wavy as hell. All in all, “Don’t Play That” might end up being the best release of the weekend.
So, 21, you’re just gonna keep killing features, huh?
