Dominic Fike Releases “Elliot’s Song” Off Euphoria

Rating: 5 out of 5.

People on Twitter didn’t give this song a favorable rating…

I have a confession to make: I haven’t watched a single second of Euphoria. Instead, I rely on people’s comments about the show on Twitter to form my assumptions. This past weekend, while scrolling through reactions, I noticed a lot of negative comments about “Elliot’s Song,” a ballad featured in the latest episode. After listening to the track myself, I can confidently say that Twitter users are crazy.

“Elliot’s Song” is a subdued and emotionally numb ballad. Over a stripped-down instrumental, Dominic Fike delivers a cold yet poignant performance, singing about a deep connection with someone he fears he might unintentionally lose. While Fike’s vocals are the centerpiece, Zendaya adds a beautifully understated touch as his background singer, enhancing the song’s emotive depth.
