Last Scar

Nazzy The Mic

RGM RATING (??????)

A club rap song with confidence and range written into the lyrics.

Nazzy The Mic is a seventeen-year-old rapper from Philadelphia who has been rapping since she was six years old. Nazzy started out by performing in local rap cyphers before moving on to recording studios. Nothing is off the table topic-wise; she raps about her relationships, real-life experiences, religion, and sexuality. This wide range of music is available on Spotify, YouTube, and her own website. While Nazzy is dedicated to music, she’s still enjoying living like a  teen: She plays video games, is learning how to drive, and eats her favorite foods. Nazzy’s album, titled “I Speak Pain,” dropped earlier in the year; “Last Scar” is from the album. This song also has an accompanying music video.

“Last Scar” is an introduction song to Nazzy — both as a person and as a rapper. Her skills and vocals speak with the confidence that is only acquired through experience. In terms of topic, “Last Scar” is about the pain in Nazzy’s life. She raps about losing friends to death and about being betrayed by people close to her. Verses like “not old enough to hit the club, but I still make it rain.” oozes confidence and energy in just a few words. Clearly, Nazzy is a fierce, passionate rapper, and that energy comes through in her music. So, stream Nazzy The Mic’s “Last Scar” to transfer some of her energy for yourself.
