People think that we dudes can’t stomach City Girls; I beg to differ. In my opinion, the duo rap hard and know how to construct truly appealing hooks and verses. They also know how to adjust their styles to whatever type of song they are on. In “Top Notch,” City Girls (Along with Fivio Foreign) do work over a drill beat.
Yung Miami, JT, and Fivio Foreign go hard as hell in this song. While the first two names I mentioned mainly focus on killing their competition by dissing their wardrobes, vaginas, and bank accounts, Fivio kills his competition by threatening to shoot them (Welp, that’s the quickest way to shut them down). While Fivio sounds like a natural on the song, City Girls fit it by fitting out.
I love how women diss other women by talking about their botched jobs.
