I never would’ve guessed that ScHoolboy Q’s comeback song would be called “Soccer Dad” (I love how unpredictable hip-hop has become).
ScHoolboy Q may have the juice now. Now that Kendrick Lamar is making his departure from TDE, Q may have to assume the role as the label’s number one option. Based on what I heard in “Soccer Dad,” the number one option definitely fits him.
Don’t let this song’s title fool you, ScHoolboy Q kicks ass and takes names in “Soccer Dad.” Over a beat that has this old-school, 70s detective show vibe to it, our California hero drops bars about being a rich gangsta that is bred to go “ape” whenever he needs to. The determination mixed with the grit that Q spits with will remind you why many call him one of the hardest in the game today.
ScHoolboy Q be chilling hard. I feel like we hear from him every three years.
