Tucson
Dolo Tonight
RGM RATING (????????)
A carefree alternative gem with soft instrumentals that inspires literal escape.
New Jersey-based musical creative, Jonah Elias Rindner, also known as Dolo Tonight, is a passionate singer, rapper, and multi-instrumentalist. Rindner is best known for creating anti-pop alternative tunes. His colorful style combines his vibrant personality with his unique storytelling. His vocals typically favor an indie/pop sound and take inspiration from artists like Billy Holiday, A Day To Remember, Paramore, and the Allman Brothers. Clearly, Rindner is a widespread musician with many talents. His music is available from many different sources, including Spotify, YouTube, and his own website. Dolo Tonight’s latest drop is the alternative single “Tucson.” The song also has an accompanying music video.
“Tucson” sets the tone for a road trip with a soft rock guitar filling in the background. Lyrics like “Drivin’ out to Tucson, you with your two friends / Ya make it ‘fore the sunrise hits your bright eyes” and “Leave it all behind, you don’t pack bags / Cold in just a T-Shirt on the East Coast” remind us to live in the moment. However, they also tell us about giving in to your inner desire of experiencing all there is to life. “Tucson” sounds like a club song, but it’s better suited for the open road with your windows down. It’s slow enough to enjoy and fast enough to excite, and it deserves the love it gets.
