Roy Woods Returns With “Insecure”

“Insecure” is about the power that comes with having a woman that is down for you.

I swear to you, I thought that Roy Woods was the second or third most talented rapper in the hip-hop game at one point. His ability to switch between melodic raps and straight-up R&B vocals has always impressed me. With that being said, as of late, Roy has been pretty quiet. Today, he decided to return to the music scene with “Insecure,” a track that I think once again shows how talented he is.

I absolutely love the vibes attached to “Insecure.” In the song, Roy Woods hits us with bold melodies and high-pitched vocals over this guitar-driven instrumental that is hella infectious. Think Michael Jackson meets TQ.
