Nomrah

A hip-hop song with chaotic melodies and intense lyrics.

Nomrah is a hip-hop singer and songwriter with he/they pronouns. They draw inspiration from artists like Eminem, Busta Rhymes, Tech N9ne, and many more. Their goal is to “fuse a modern melodic pop-rap vocal style and melody choice with their signature.” For the past 2 years, they have been putting a lot of their work into the world. The first album came out in 2020, called “INDIGO CHILD.” Their most recent album is a follow-up to the first, called “INDIGO CHILD II: the pink moon,” which has 10 songs. All their previous work is available on Spotify, Youtube, and Apple Music. Nomrah’s newest single, “to the moon.,” comes from their second album.

In “to the moon.,” a lot of sounds compete with each other. There are moments throughout when the beat and the vocals are harmonic together, but overall, I feel that there was a lot of background noise. The lyrics, on the other hand, are so brutally honest and show a level of vulnerability that counteract the song’s overall sound. Lyrics like “Can I panic for a second or will you leave? When you see I ain’t as tough as I first made it seem?” go deep into their insecurities. At the same time, they remind others of our own insecurities in an almost electro-pop and rap mix. Overall, “to the moon.” sounds like the dance song we all need in our lives. So, stream Nomrah’s “to the moon.” today to get yourself on the moon mentally.
