Eminem & Cee-Lo Team Up For “The King & I”

The King & I

Eminem & Cee-Lo

Eminem and Elvis have a lot in common…

Elvis was accused of stealing black people’s music and making it more stomachable for white people (I want to make it clear, I wasn’t the one accusing him of this… I wasn’t born when Elvis was popping). Some accuse Eminem of the same thing. Regardless of what people think, I think it would be foolish to not call both of them legends. Today, Eminem decided to release “The King & I,” a track in which he talks about some additional similarities that he shares with Elvis.

“The King & I,” which also features Cee-Lo Green, has some vibrant energy. Between Cee-Lo’s boisterous vocals, the exuberant production, and Eminem’s heart-pumping deliveries, this song will get you hyped as hell. As for lyrically, I absolutely love how Eminem comes across as everything from a rebel to a trailer park legend to a competitive MC. The one thing in this song that I can probably do without is Eminem’s cheesy punchlines (S**t, he even uses Velveta in one of his punchlines).
