Can’t Stop Won’t Stop
King Combs (Ft. Kodak Black)
King Combs loves remixing his Daddy’s s**t.
Every father’s dream is to have their son either follow in their footsteps or pick up the family business when they choose to retire. In Diddy’s case, his son, Christian “King” Combs, has done everything in his power to make his dad proud. Throughout the years, KC has been keeping Diddy’s sound alive by making music that sounds like it came directly from the Shiny Suit era. This weekend, he decided to release a track called “Can’t Stop Won’t Stop” that flips the beat from Lil Cease, Lil’ Kim, and Biggie’s classic “Crush On You” hit.
If you wonder what “Crush On You” would’ve sounded like if Big Freedia helped make the beat, press play on “Can’t Stop Won’t Stop.” The song features elements of bounce but still keeps its sly roots. As for the rappers on the track, they both put up decent showings. I really like Kodak’s steady and nonchalant hook, while I f**k with King Combs’ slick persona (I just feel like he’s missing some flair). The best thing about the song is Diddy’s talking at the end, though (I f**king love when Diddy talks on tracks).
S**t, these dudes really can’t stop won’t stop…
