Rod Wave

Rod Wave’s new album, “Beautiful Mind,” will hit streaming services Friday morning.

I want to give Rod Wave a big-ass hug. He might shoot me the moment that I get a few feet away from him, but it’s something that I want to do. Why do I want to do this? Because he seems like a gentle soul that needs to be told he is valued. With that being said, once Rod’s new album releases, I will bask in the lonely-sounding music that I expect to be on it. Earlier today, Rod released “Alone,” a track in which he keeps it soulfully real with listeners once again.

I’m not going to lie, this song sounds like a bunch of Rod Wave songs I’ve heard in the past. It features an emotional vocal performance, a beat that is on some The 700 club-trap s**t, and lyrical content that does a deep dive into the feelings that come with being pushed aside by a lover. This song won’t quite stand out to you, but it will remind you why you love the big teddy bear that is Rod Wave.

Give “Alone” by Rod Wave a shot below.
