Hailing from Minneapolis, Minnesota, DREDOLF is best described as an artist that doesn’t fit into any box. After spending a decade in retirement, he’s now ready to share his music with the world. So far, DREDOLF has released a total of three albums. “SADISFIED” comes from his latest project, also titled SADISFIED. The project was created between 2018 and 2019. It was made when DREDOLF was in a dark place, which he claims he is no longer in. Ultimately, he decided to release the project to help others get through their own depression. All of DREDOLF’s music is available on Spotify, YouTube, and SoundCloud.
“SADISFIED” is a song you both cry and rage to. There are raw vocals that expel all emotions, and as the title suggests, DREDOLF is in a state of sadness that he strangely feels satisfied with. The feeling of losing someone hits him deep, but even with that, he chooses to remain unbothered. Lyrics like “Now I spend my time not giving a f**k if I die or if I live” and “I love and I hate my life” show the pain and contentment he’s experiencing. Though the lyrics are grim, we’re left with an optimistic message. Instead of wallowing in your pain, you can decide to have a peaceful state of mind.
