Vancouver-based artist, Jade LeMac, is a multi-instrumentalist singer and songwriter. She’s only 18, but LeMac has already risen to stardom with a strong fanbase. On TikTok, she first garnered attention as a content creator. Now, she’s up to over 1 million followers. 2021 saw the release of her debut single, “Constellations,” establishing her as an artist. LeMac’s music explores a plethora of topics, making it hard to put her into a single box. She has songs for when you’re feeling heartbreak and songs that’ll make you feel empowered. All of these powerful pieces are available on Spotify, YouTube, and Apple Music. Her first EP is expected to drop on February 10th, 2023. Until then, we’ll have to hold over with Jade LeMac’s “Meet You in Hell.” The song also has an accompanying music video.

LeMac gets incredibly dark, not sugarcoating anything, and promises to “Meet You in Hell.” There’s pain and trauma she’s going through, served by a loved one. However, instead of wallowing, she decides to take back her power and serve up her own slice of revenge on them. There’s an enticing pop rock sound to help LeMac give us an effortless and vitalizing performance. Her lyrics are eerie and cutthroat as she makes retribution sound so hard to resist. Lyrics like “I‘m your worst fucking enemy unless you bow down and beg for me on your knees” show how she will no longer allow herself to be a victim. We’ve all been in situations where we’ve been made to feel small by someone, but LeMac helps give us the will to reverse that.
