Let Go

Central Cee

I’ve officially folded: I am now a UK rap fan, y’all!

There have been hundreds of UK rappers that have walked through that door: I can honestly say that Central Cee is my favorite of them all. Not only do I share similar Doja Cat sentiments as him, but I also love his swagger on the mic (Especially considering that he makes drill music). This past weekend, Cee released an emotional drill banger called “Let Go.”

“Let Go” boasts this Alice in Wonderland-type beat that has these edgy drill elements that poke out every once in a while. Over the beat, Central Cee uses gentle vocals and rambunctious raps to speak on the emotional rollercoaster that his woman puts him through. What I love about the song is how it flows and the mixture of serene and hard-hitting vibes it boasts. This is another big hit from the booming UK star.
