ICYMI: 5 Underrated Albums From Last Week (1/16/2023)

Yea, I tried to find five, but I couldn’t.

3. 03 Greedo – Free 03

Fresh out of jail, 03 Greedo dropped a brand new mixtape called Free 03. I’ve never been a major fan of his, but usually, when folks get freed from jail, they sound ultra-inspired. I wouldn’t say this project is the best thing since sliced bread, but I will say that it features adrenaline-filled beats and exciting raps. Overall, I think it’s a good listen.

2. 21 Lil Harold – After The Curse

21 Lil Harold is the next Atlanta rapper that folks need to pay attention to. Though he has 21 in his name and 21 Savage on his new album, he kind of reminds me of a grittier K CAMP. With that being said, Harold’s latest project, After The Curse, is a must-listen for these three reasons: It boasts amazing beats, authentic street lyrics, and solid features (G Herbo, 21 Savage, Young Nudy, and Nardo Wick all make guest appearances on the album). I highly recommend that you give the project a shot!

1. Vedo – Mood Swings

For those of you that say that R&B is dead, Vedo may have pumped some life into the genre. His latest release, Mood Swings, boasts some of the most authentic R&B songs I’ve heard in a while. Since Vedo is a longtime writer for several prominent artists, the penmanship on this album is on point. All in all, Mood Swings is a must-listen.
